Description
K1 manual seeder (single row, side wheel)
Includes spoon set with 11 different types!
The domestic production of spoon seeders has a 25-year history. Their development was aimed at small farmers, individual farmers and smallholders, with the aim of creating a precise, grain-by-grain seeder. Its success at home and abroad has been unbroken ever since.
Side wheel version. The drive wheels are mounted directly on the axle on each side of the sowing unit.
Spacing: Variable from 3,5 cm (24 spoons) to 80 cm (1 spoon) by the number of spoons inserted.
Seed varieties: poppy, parsley, carrot, radish, onion, cabbage, lettuce, cauliflower, pepper, fodder beet, beetroot, cucumber, pea, bean, maize, various tree species, herb seeds e.g. acacia, and many flower seeds, and can be used for sowing cereal seeds.
Why do we recommend the hand seeder?
- Seed saving
- Precise seed placement, sowing by seed
- Multiple seeds can be sown with one machine
- No need for post-planting
- Easy to push
Operation:
Seeds are lifted and dispensed by spoons that are adapted to their size and shape. The spoons must be changed according to the type of seed to be sown. All seed buckets are supplied with the machines. The spacing is determined by the number of spoons placed in the spoon tray: a maximum of 24 spoons can be placed in the spoon tray. The circumference of the drive wheel is 84 cm. This means that for one rotation, i.e. a sowing length of 84 cm, depending on the number of spoons in the disc, you can achieve 24, 12, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 spacing (example: if 24 spoons are used, the spacing is 3.5 cm (80:24) …. and so on ).
Useful tips:
When working, care must be taken to keep the seeder horizontal, otherwise the seeds may fall out of the spoons earlier!
The maximum working speed for both manual and mechanical versions is 3-5 km/h.
A minimum of 8-10 grams of seed should be loaded for successful sowing.
It is designed primarily for sowing small seeds, so a finely prepared soil free of clods is required.
Precise placement of the spoons is very important! The seed spoon is in the correct position when you hear a clicking sound during insertion. When inserting smaller spoons, it is advisable to use a flat tong.
The level of seed “flowing” from the seed hopper section into the seed hopper also affects the quality of the seed. In the hopper there is an aluminium seed level regulator (slider), which can be moved up and down to control the amount of seed flowing through. By correctly adjusting this slider, you can ensure that only the head of the spoon – and no longer the stem – is immersed in the seed. If the spoon stem is also submerged, it can take up several grains in the ejection position.
Accessories:
A number of accessories are also available for more complex operations, e.g. row indicator, granule dispenser, etc.
