Why do we recommend a sod cutter?
When re-greening, the top layer of worn, decayed grass should be cut/planed up to a depth of about 2-3 cm, and this cut strip of soil can then be removed from the area.
The fast vibrating cutting knife of the motorised machine makes this job easier and more professional. It is a misconception that old turf should be rotated into the soil because the end result will be disappointing.
There will be less waste to take care of, less soil to replenish, which saves a considerable amount of money, and if the goal is to lay turf, the replenishment can be skipped.
With a sod cutter, existing lawns or turf can be picked up without damage so that they can be reinstalled when the garden is replanted.

The result of 6 years of experience in the development of this Hungarian-made machine is a safe, low-maintenance tool that cuts nicely in all conditions. Another important aspect was that all parts should be accessible and easy to remove/replace.
Professional machine, equipped with a 6.5 HP HONDA GX200 industrial petrol engine.
Equipped with a 40 cm wide steel cutting knife (belt-driven), which has adjustable depth from 0 to 4.5 cm, can be fixed easily with a quick-release lever.
The cutting edge always penetrates firmly into the ground, without the operator’s assistance or intervention, due to the powerful engine drive and the cutting machine’s own weight. Well-balanced, easy to control.
It has a working speed of 0.5 m/s, which means that we can cover an area of about 700 m2 per hour with the sod cutter.
It is self propelled, the tractor wheels are driven (oil-bath clutch gearbox), and the sod cutter starts and moves by itself by pulling the throttle lever on the handle (the self propelled function can be switched off).
