Description

G2 – mechanical spoon seed drill per grain

Includes spoon set with 11 different types!

It can be mounted on the tractor beam with the addition of a coupling suspension, allowing the design of a multi row seeder to suit your needs. The individual sowing units are connected to the tractor beam by articulated arms, so that they operate independently of each other and follow the ground surface.

This type is recommended for loose, sandy soils.

It can be used after tractors or rotary hoes.

The sowing unit is driven from the rear wheel by means of a V-belt transmission. The drive wheel also has a compaction function.

The minimum row spacing is 20 cm.

Function:

Seeds are lifted and fed by buckets adapted to their size and shape. The spoons must be changed according to the type of seed to be sown. All seed spoons are supplied with the machines. The spacing is determined by the number of spoons placed in the spoon tray: a maximum of 24 spoons can be placed in the spoon tray. The circumference of the drive wheel is 84 cm. This means that for one rotation, i.e. a sowing length of 84 cm, depending on the number of spoons in the disc, you can achieve 24, 12, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 spacing (example: if you use 24 spoons, the spacing will be 3.5 cm (80:24) …. and so on).

Advantages:

  • simple to operate, it saves a lot of energy
  • low seed saving seeding system
  • accurate seed metering
  • low energy consumption
  • Multiple seeds can be sown with one machine
  • no need for subsequent calibration

Important:

When working, care must be taken to keep the seed drill level, otherwise the seeds may fall out of the spoons earlier!

The maximum working speed for both manual and mechanical versions is 3-5 km/h.

A minimum of 8-10 grams of seed is required for successful sowing – not recommended for hobby use.

It is primarily designed for sowing small seeds and therefore requires finely prepared soil free of clods. It will not be successful in bumpy soil.

Before starting work, it is very important to insert the spoons accurately! The seed spoon is in the correct position when a clicking sound is heard during insertion. When inserting smaller spoons, it is advisable to use a flat tong.

The level of seed “flowing” from the seed hopper section into the seed hopper also affects the quality of the seed. In the hopper there is an aluminium seed level regulator (slider), which can be moved up and down to control the amount of seed flowing through. By correctly adjusting this slider, you can ensure that only the head of the spoon – and no longer the stem – is immersed in the seed. If the spoon stem is also submerged, it can take up several grains in the ejection position.

Accessories:

Set of 11 spoons of different sizes
A number of accessories are also available for more complex operations, e.g. row marker, granule dispenser, etc.

The domestic production of bucket seeders has a 25-year history. Their development has been aimed at small farmers, individual farmers and smallholders, with the aim of creating a machine that can accurately sow seeds by the grain, especially small seeds. Its success at home and abroad has been unbroken ever since, proving the original concept to be correct.
