What maintenance does the polystyrene cutter require?

What makes the EUROKOMAX polystyrene cutting wire better than the traditional iron wire?

• It is made of a special high quality nickel-chromium alloy (NiCr8020/0,65).
• It has better mechanical properties: harder to break, more flexible, more elastic, more stable temperature.
• It has a thinner wire diameter (Ø0.65 mm) for extra precise cutting.

Why do you need a thicker thread for cutting graphite sheets?

• Because of the graphite additive, polystyrene has a lower thermal conductivity and insulates more efficiently. This means in practice that the same insulation can be achieved with thinner boards. For this reason, graphite boards are better.
• However, for efficient cutting, a thicker cutting thread is needed. No difference in material quality.
